Dan's Story
From an early age, golf has been a huge part of my life and has shaped both my personal and professional journey within the game.
My passion for coaching and player development led me to complete my first degree in Secondary Physical Education, giving me a strong foundation in learning, movement, and performance development.
I turned professional in 2018 at Alderley Edge Golf Club and went on to complete my PGA training in 2021 whilst based at Stockport Golf Club, combining academic knowledge with practical coaching experience to create an approach that is both effective and approachable.
Over the years, I have coached players of all abilities and backgrounds, from ages 3 to 93, working with both male and female golfers to help them enjoy the game and achieve their goals.
As a coach, I pride myself on creating a welcoming environment where players feel comfortable, supported, and motivated to improve. I place a strong emphasis on helping students manage and understand their own development, allowing them to recognise instantly where their swing is at and make meaningful adjustments with confidence.
My coaching philosophy is centred around simplicity. While technology and data can be valuable tools, I believe not every golfer needs to be overloaded with numbers and technical information. I prefer to work with simple feelings and clear concepts that help players perform naturally and consistently without becoming bogged down in excessive data.
