Hole 4      (Atherton) - 410 Yards, Par 4 

Named in recognition of Michael Atherton; Captain and opening batsmen for England and Lancashire. Former resident of Woodhouses and member of the adjacent Cricket Club.

Out of bounds needs to be avoided down the left side of the fairway boarded by Poplar, Birch and Maple trees. A second shot to a green and fairway, which slopes away from the player, takes great control and judgment; too long and a bunker awaits!
