The annual Jazz night, will take place on Saturday 16th Octoberand has been 'back/updated; with a 1940's theme.
After your sumptious 7 course dinner, jive to that big Glen Miller sound from our own 1940's style 14 piece 'Big Band'.

We are pleased and proud to inform you that for the 1st time in the History of Brookdale Golf Club our Seniors team have made the play off final of the Manchester & District Seniors league.
Ably led by Mr. Ted Kay, our gallant lads lie in second place to the mighty Shrigley Hall, perennial winners of the prestigous competition, which guarantees them a place in the final. They are likley to be joined by the experienced campaigners from Marple and Reddish Vale in the four way play off.
It will be played on Wednesday 22nd September on our own Ashridge course, so why not come down and give our brave boys your support. With home advantage, who knows??

Congratulations to our own Mark Riley from everyone at Brookdale Golf Club for retaining the Oldham District Championship, which was played at our home course on Saturday 3rd July.
Mark took on and beat the cream of Oldham golf to take the prestigous scratch title for the second year in succession with scores of 68 and 70.
Well done Mark and here's looking forward to a hat trick in 2011.

The Brookdale Golf Club Board of Directors are pleased to announce that a re-furbish of the Club House has started.
Work completed or underway so far is..
- Internal and external decoration / painting.
- New carpet and floor tiles in the main room and rear corridor
- Replacement of ceiling tiles
- New window blinds.
- Refurbishment and Extension of the Dance floor
The Directors thank the Members for their support and understanding during the re-furbishment and apologise for any inconvenience it may cause.
Stop Press and still to be confirmed but look out for a refurbish of the Bar area soon.

A wonderful day was spent at Brookdale on the Ascot Ladies by many members and guests. Everything was in aid of the Lady Captain's chosen charity, the Meningitis Trust. Much more information to follow, but for now just have alook at the photo strip to see how splendid the room looked...

Perennial bridesmaid John Pickup has finished runner up once again on the North East Manchester Seniors Tour. Along with long time partner Ron Hallet (Werneth GC), he finished second, in a large field, at the Pike Fold Seniors Open last month with an impressive 39 points. Well done once again John and Ron on representing your respective clubs with such distinction,

Congratulations to Brookdale member John Pickup and his partner Ron Hallett from Werneth on unluckily finishing a very close second after a card play off at the Werneth Golf Club Seniors Open. An excellent 43pts were chalked up by John and Ron, so well done and good luck with year Seniors competitions this year and well done on doing your respective clubs proud from all at BGC.
