The nearby hamlet was originally called Waterhouses, but local 19th century writer and poet Ben Brierley called it Daisy Nook in a popular book "A Day Out" and the name caught on.
A straight drive is required to bisect the road to the right and birch trees the left, the trees planted along the left of the fairway cause many a problem. The second shot is semi-blind, but there are no bunkers to worry about.
